Four Comforting Picks from Our Fall Menu
Now that cooler nights have arrived, we’re ready for comfort food and heartier dishes. Our Fall 2017 menu is here and we’re sharing four of our recommendations – both classic and new, for the season! While we’re sad to say goodbye to patio season, we’re excited for cozy dinners by candlelight in the main dining room. Here are some of the dishes that we’re loving at the moment:
1. Veal & Prosciutto Meatballs
A hearty and delicious option from our Primi menu are the meatballs! A delicious combination of veal and prosciutto, they’re sure to satisfy your cold weather cravings. Served with Parmesan polenta, marsala and sage, this dish has a rich depth of flavor and is perfect starter to set the tone for your evening.
2. Four Cheese Fonduta
A L’Andana staple and a guest favorite, the Four Cheese Fonduta never disappoints. A delicious blend of four bubbly cheeses, with a layer of Sopressata and roasted garlic, it’s the ultimate comfort food in the fall and winter seasons. Dip toasted bread into the dish to scoop up the mix of Fontina, Asiago, Pecorino Romano, and Meunster for the perfect bite. Enjoy the Fonduta as a starter before your meal, or stop in at the bar and pair the appetizer with a beer or a cocktail!
We’d be remiss if we didn’t include a pasta dish in our highlight, and the Fettuccine with foraged mushrooms, truffle butter, and Parmesan is an unbeatable combination. Pasta with butter is an eternally classic combination, and truffle butter elevates it to the next level. Mushrooms grow throughout the year, but they’re most plentiful in the fall. Most wild mushrooms are only available during this season, and they make a fantastic addition to this plate. Add shaved Parmesan and you’ve got a deliciously satisfying pasta dish.
4. Wood Grilled Steak
Cold nights call for red meat, and we offer several cuts, from prime ribeye, to filet mignon, to prime sirloin. All of our steaks are cooked on our wood-fired grill and served with a sea salt baked potato, roasted garlic butter, vin cotto, and grilled romaine with Gorgonzola. The most decadent option that we offer is the 40 Day Dry Aged Prime Ribeye. The 18 oz cut comes bone-in with Shishito peppers, gremolata, and vin cotto. No matter which cut you choose, you’ll leave satisfied after choosing a steak entrée.
Pair your meal with a bottle of red wine or a cocktail from our fall list. Our servers are happy to assist you in selecting a bottle that suits your tastes and complements your meal. And finally, round out the evening with one of our seasonal or classic dessert options like the Honeycrisp Apple Crostata with warm cinnamon crumble, the Ciambella (Apple Cider Donuts), or the Cioccolato Chocolate Molten Cake with vanilla gelato.
