Tuscan inspired weddings at L’Andana

May 3, 2017

We’re excited to be heading through spring, and soon the height of wedding season will be upon us! We’re starting the season inspired and full of enthusiasm. Our events team is always scouting wedding trends on blogs like Style Me Pretty, The Knot, 100 Layer Cake, Green Wedding Shoes, and more, so that we can be of the most service to our couples.

It looks like 2017 will be bringing some exciting trends like more color, remixed ceremonies, and unique food presentations, – according to The Knot. As we start spring 2017, we wanted to put together an inspiration board of our own highlighting some of the newest trends. As you know, our specialty is Tuscan cuisine, and our space is a combination of rustic and refined, making it perfect for couples who have a soft spot for Tuscany. To help get your creative juices flowing, we’ve put together an inspiration board of images from a dream Tuscan-inspired wedding.

Ahh, Tuscany. We dream about the rolling hills, the iconic cypress trees, and the vineyards. There’s so much inspiration to draw from the region and so many beautiful elements that you can incorporate into a wedding ceremony and reception. Simple gathered bouquets of herbs or lavender are natural and elegant (and as an added bonus, smell phenomenal!) Metallic tones in décor or in bridesmaid’s dresses can also add a modern twist to the day. And finally, dishes can be elegantly prepared and served in unique ways.

Incorporate herbs: Adding herbs to bouquets, table arrangements, or as a decorative addition on the wedding cake is an easy way to add understated elegance. Cost effective herb bouquets can be easily assembled and tied with a simple ribbon. Our personal favorite to use is rosemary, but lavender, mint, and sage are other wonderful options. Pair them with flowers, or keep them as is!

Dessert display at L’Andana

Focus on food: The Knot predicts that unique displays will play a part in 2017 weddings. At L’Andana we customize the menu and set-up for each couple. We’re able to create unique tablescapes, dessert tables, sundae bars, and other creative displays. Rest assured that no matter which menu you choose, your guests will be thrilled with our Tuscan inspired cuisine.

Color palette: Our space is filled with rustic barn board and a neutral palette which pairs beautifully with other classic colors, or can provide the perfect backdrop for bright vibrant colors! We’re excited to see which vibrant colors couples will pick in 2017. Adding in metallic accents of silver, gold, or rose gold is also a wonderful contemporary touch, no matter what the palette. While we’re not located in the Italian countryside, you can find the same charm and rustic romantic vibe at L’Andana! When it comes to weddings, we love all parts of the planning process, and our events team will be with you every step of the way!
